The iPad is a tablet computer designed and developed by Apple. It is particularly marketed as a platform for audio and visual media such as books, periodicals, movies, music, and games, as well as web content. At about 700 grams (25 ounces), its size and weight are between those of most contemporary smartphones and laptop computers. Apple released the iPad in April 2010, and sold 3 million of the devices in 80 days
The iPad runs the same operating system as the earlier iPod Touch and iPhone, albeit a slightly older version. (The versions are to be synchronized in September 2010. It can run its own applications as well as ones developed for the iPhone. Without modification, it will only run programs approved by Apple and distributed via its online store.
Like iPhone and iPod Touch, the iPad is controlled by a multitouch display sensitive to up to eleven fingers— a break from most previous tablet computers, which used a pressure-triggered stylus. The iPad uses Wi-Fi or a 3Gsynced by iTunes on a personal computer via USB cable. mobile data connection to browse the Internet, load and stream media, and install software. The device is managed and
Media reaction to the device has generally been neutral or positive, with more positive reaction after the device was launched.

This was an overview of the Nokia N88.
expected to come by Q3 2010.
After watching 200 runs barrier crossed by the most deserved person walking on planet this statement seems to be verified . THERE IS JUSTICE IN CRICKET TOO. If at all someone deserved it ,it was the mumbai maestro. But now this double century has opened up another debate that was rather not expected even 3 days before ,the debate on the big question:- Is Sachin better than Bradman. well i might sound childish but thats not my views ,the people round the world are saying that. One debate that is over for sure is whether sachin is better or ponting(it was over for me long time ago but now the idiots who searches reasons to attack sachin's greatness will be quiet too)
Just get back to history and see how it unfolds .The previlege to get the highest score against your name is rightly given to the prolific batsman of that era be it Test or ODI's This can be seen in the following list:- Batsman with highest individual scores in ODI (progressive):- Name Score Balls Date GM Turner 171* 201 07 Jun 1975 N Kapil Dev 175* 138 18 Jun 1983 IVA Richards 189* 170 31 May 1984 Saeed Anwar 194 146 21 May 1997 CK Coventry 194* 156 16 Aug 2009 SR Tendulkar 200* 147 24 Feb 2010
Batsman with highest individual scores in Tests (progressive):- Name Score Balls Date DG Bradman 334 448 11 Jul 1930 WR Hammond 336* - 31 Mar 1933 L Hutton 364 847 - Aug 1938 GS Sobers 365* - 26 Feb 1958 BC Lara 375 538 16 Apr 1994 ML Hayden 380 437 09 Oct 2003 BC Lara 400* 582 10 Apr 2004
In ODI just look at the quality of batsman..The prestigious gift was bestowed upon the batsman like kapil dev and sir viv. richards both of them dont need any introduction. Sir viv. in my views is the best ODI batsman (some might disagree) but still facts proves that. Next in the list comes the gread pakistani ODI run machine saeed anwar who held the record for an eternity. But the real justice was done twice once when sir viv got it and now when sir sachin got it.
Moving to test , its even better stats starting from sir Donald ,then passing to Sir Garfield sobers then to carribien champion Lara. Make no mistake about it that every single person present is a great test batsman be it hutton ,hammond or hayden. But in my views the highest score is just a gift ,a one day glory and doesnot reflect in any way the true greatness of a batsman .Its the cricket justice which presents this gift to desired players. Just imagine the four of the modern top five batsman doesnot have a tripple century against their name. These gentleman's are Ponting ,Dravid ,Sachin and Kallis .Lara being the only one to have it. Poor Kallis doesn't even have a double. I think this arguement is enough to prove highest score doesnot depict anything. Its the career average and runs that is true reflection of a batsman's skill.
Still we believe in justice and it will be more than appropriate for this great player (Sachin) to recieve yet another Gift from heaven to score a tripple century in test because no-one else more than him deserves it.
Researchers at the University of South Australia with the collaboration of Nokia have come up with software, which will offer X-ray vision to see what's on the other side of the building, reports ANI.
The application works by using the phone's camera. Users can point the camera at a building and an image of it would appear on the screen. Then, the image would change to show what was behind the building, as if it was no longer there.
The application is likely to be introduced in the market in the next two years. The technology, known as augmented reality, appears to be X-ray vision, but in reality it uses pictures and images that already exist in databases such as Google Earth and Google Streetview. The application needs two pieces of information: 3D model of the area or city the phone user is in and the user's exact position. A 3D model of a city could be built using information collected from aerial surveys. The technology could not be used to see into people's houses because only the exterior views of buildings and streets were held in the databases.
The technology, known as augmented reality, appears to be X-ray vision, but in reality it uses pictures and images that already exist in databases such as Google Earth and Google Streetview.
GPS is used to work out the user''s exact position. Once the software knows this information, it uses information and images from the 3D model to display a picture of what is behind the building.
With Remote Desktop on Windows XP Professional, you can have access to a Windows session that is running on your computer when you are at another computer. This means, for example, that you can connect to your work computer from home and have access to all of your applications, files, and network resources as though you were in front of your computer at work. You can leave programs running at work and when you get home, you can see your desktop at work displayed on your home computer, with the same programs running. When you connect to your computer at work, Remote Desktop automatically locks that computer so no one else can access your applications and files while you are gone. When you come back to your computer at work, you can unlock it by typing CTRL+ALT+DEL.
Remote Desktop also allows more than one user to have active sessions on a single computer. This means that multiple users can leave their applications running and preserve the state of their Windows session even while others are logged on.
Basically ,remote desktop is same as TELNET however there is a protocol difference between the two. Moreover you might not get TELNET on all PC's.
Now to start using this service follow these steps:-
* Open control panel/performance/system * Click on Remote tab and check allow users to connect remotely.
* You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group to enable the Remote Desktop feature. * Next you have to configure your firewall setting :-
1. In the Control Panel, click Security Center. 2. Under Manage security settings for, click Windows Firewall. 3. Make sure the Don't allow exceptions check box is not selected. 4. Click the Exceptions tab, and verify that the Remote Desktop check box is selected. 5. Click OK, and then close the Windows Security Center window. Your host computer is now set up to allow remote access.
* Now its time to connect.Type MSTSC in run and press enter. * Remote connection box will appear ,type the IP address of the PC you want to connect and then it will prompt you to enter username and password (the one which you enter while logging in ,which is of the PC you are trying to connect and not the PC you are on). * You will be connected to the required PC.
Note:- You can also give computer name(check it from system in performance and settings) to connect to a PC in local network.
Warning:- Your ports should be open to use this service (first forward your ports) .Check if it works without it or not.
The first thing i would like to mention is this is not the best of modem provided by ISP's to forward a specific port. We gamers normally forward port no:-27015 for counter strike but it doesnot allow us to forward a specific port.
Well I am not going into the theory of ports and port forwarding so please google it and read it. Before starting ,let me warn you that this will open all your ports so be carefull and open them only when you want to use them.
Eventhough there is a modem default settings restoration option available ,still i would like you to write down the default settings in case you would have to revert back to them.
Follow these steps:-
* Open your web browser (explorer ,firefox or any ). * Input http://192.168.1.1 (MODEM default IP address) in the address column, then click button. * Input username and password, then click login key to enter WEB setting interface.(both username and pass are admin by default).
* Choose the WAN tab from the side menu(it might be Advanced Setup ->Wan in some models). * Click on Edit button having VPI/VCI = 0/33, Check the following options: VPI = 0, VCI = 33.Click on next button. * Choose bridging from the list and LLC/SNAP-Bridging from drop down menu.Click next
* Check the default setting to match this:-
1. Enable Bridge service checked. 2. Service name as it is.
Click next.
* Check the final settings.Click on the “Save/Reboot” button, save your configurations. * Restart your modem.
Now you have to configure the new connection
* Go to the network connections. * Click on Create a new connection from left side menu. * New connection wizard will open.Click next. * Choose "connect to internet." and click next. * Choose "set up my connection manually" and click next. * Choose "connect using broadband modem using username and pass" and then next. * Enter ISP name as MTNLand click next * Enter your phone number as username and CA number as Password. * Choose next/save and exit.
Now bridge mode is set. When you want your ports to be open just go to network connections ,right click on the MTNL connection and click on connect. A new window will appear .Click connect in that too. Check your ports .They are open now. To check the ports ,use port checker software by portforward.com

Since you can't just swap out the battery on your iPhone or iPod, it's important to know how to get the most life out of your device's battery, particularly if you won't be able to charge it for a while. Apple has two pages on its site that detail how to prolong battery life on both iPhones and iPods. The pages are far more detailed than the general lithium-battery tips floating around, and they tell you very specific steps you can take to increase your device's battery life.
The iPhone page is the lengthier of the two, and most of its tips apply to the iPod line as well. Apple notes that the most important thing to do is keep iPhones and iPods away from heat sources like direct sunlight or the inside of a car on a hot day. I can vouch for that one; my wife absentmindedly left her first-gen iPod nano in our car for several days a couple of years ago with its battery almost fully discharged. When she finally pulled it out of the car, the nano's battery was fried and couldn't be recharged.
Another very basic tip: if you're not using the display, turn it off. Rather than waiting for the display to deactivate by itself, or worse, leaving it on all the time, once you've finished browsing for the song or whatever else you're looking for, push the iPhone's hold switch to lock the screen.
Other tips for prolonging iPhone battery life generally involve turning off features in your device's Settings: Location Services, Push Notifications, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, iPod equalizer, and 3G are all things you can deactivate in order to get more life out of your iPhone's battery. In a pinch, you can also put the iPhone into Airplane Mode, which essentially shuts most of those services off at once -- of course, that transforms your iPhone into a more expensive version of an iPod touch, so it's probably something you'll only want to do if you have no wireless reception anyway or your device's battery is nearly drained.
The iPod tips are mostly the same as for the iPhone, and Apple's iPod page even has a link to a monthly iCal subscription that will remind you to completely discharge and charge your device's battery once a month. This reminder probably isn't necessary for iPhones, since people tend to use those daily, but it comes in handy if you have an iPod that you're not using very often. This reminder is important if you're not using your device on a regular basis, because Apple recommends putting iPods through at least one full charge-discharge cycle per month in order to keep the battery healthy. The iPod page also has tips specific to hard-drive-based iPods, such as limiting fast-forwarding or skipping through songs and keeping song file sizes below 9 MB. Both tips ensure the iPod's hard drive doesn't have to spin up as often, thereby increasing battery life.
I usually keep all the services on my iPhone 3G turned on, and between gaming, browsing, and app use, I generally go through a complete charge cycle every other day. When I'm travelling and certain to be away from a power outlet for a long time, Location Services is generally the first thing I turn off -- the iPhone's GPS antenna seems to be responsible for a big portion of the device's battery drain.
Apple says the batteries on iPods and iPhones should retain 80% capacity after 400 full charge-discharge cycles, so to make sure you get the best use out of them both in the short and long term, make sure to follow the battery guidelines on Apple's tips pages for both iPhones and iPods.
The early adopters are out in force today. Based on analysis from Fortune's Apple 2.0 blog & the investors of the AAPL board on Investor Village, it seems that as many as 50,000 iPads were pre-ordered in its first two hours of availability this morning. That's pretty staggering demand, especially considering that on a typical day Apple only receives an average of 15,000 online orders for all products combined.
Naturally, we have no way of knowing if these numbers are exact as of yet. The numbers reflect over 50,000 orders placed in two hours, and the percentage of those that are iPad orders isn't clear. Considering that the iPad was just made available for pre-order today, however, and the 15K daily average noted above, it's likely the majority of orders placed this morning were indeed for the iPad. Additionally, the numbers only reflect the number of orders placed, not the number of units ordered; taken with the 2-pad maximum for today's pre-orders, the data does suggest that somewhere in the neighborhood of 50,000 iPad pre-orders were placed within two hours of its availability.
This suggests a huge demand for the device, at least among early adopters. It will be very interesting to see if this trend is repeated once the iPad is actually available in stores.
One interesting note: even if all 50,000 of those iPads were the $499 version (which is very unlikely), based on iSuppli's analysis of that unit's build cost, it means Apple gained nearly $13.5 million in revenue profit from the iPad alone in a mere two hours -- and that's the bare minimum. Once you factor in all the other models and their higher prices, the numbers climb by several million dollars. Even for a company with a market cap in excess of $205 billion, that's still pretty amazing performance.
When connecting to the Internet, your home computer is assigned a public IP address. As you visit Web sites or other Internet servers, that public IP address is transmitted and recorded in log files kept on those servers. Access logs leave behind a trail of your Internet activity. If it were possible to somehow hide your public IP address, your Internet activity would become much more difficult to trace. Answer: Unfortunately, it is not technically possible to always hide the public IP address of a home network. An IP address enables devices to locate and communicate with each other on the Internet. Completely hiding the IP address of a device would render it invisible but also unusable online.
On the other hand, it is possible to hide public IP addreseses from most Internet servers in most situations. This method involves an Internet service called an anonymous proxy server. Anonymous Proxy Servers
An anonymous proxy server ("proxy") is a special type of server that acts as an intermediary between a home network and the rest of the Internet. An anonymous proxy server makes requests for Internet information on your behalf, using its own IP address instead of yours. Your computer only accesses Web sites indirectly, through the proxy server. This way, Web sites will see the proxy's IP address, not your home IP address.
Using an anonymous proxy server requires a simple configuration of the Web browser (or other Internet client software that supports proxies). Proxies are identified by a combination of URL and TCP port number.
Numerous free anonymous proxy servers exist on the Internet, open for anyone to use. These servers may have bandwidth traffic limits, may suffer from reliability or speed problems, or might permanently disappear from the Internet without notice. Such servers are most useful for temporary or experimental purposes.
Anonymous proxy services that charge fees in return for better quality of service also exist. These services are designed for regular use by households. Hiding Your IP Address - Related Tools
The ability to hide an IP address increases your privacy on the Internet. Other approaches to improving Internet privacy also exist and complement each other. Managing Web browser cookies, using encryption when sending personal information, running a firewall and other techniques all contribute toward a greater feeling of safety and security when going online.
One such tool i came across is hide your Ip address. Download here
This is a 3 day trial version and works only for explorer(Tried and tested by me). Please do try this as it is invisible to almost 95% servers(i personally experienced it).
The simplest proof of this is to just activate the software by clicking start and then open explorer and go to Check here the ip and the ip when proxy is off. Wallah, its working. To extend the validity buy the key or as we say in india (use jugaad technology) i hope i dont need to mention that because you people are good enough.
As usual there has to be a minimum criteria. We have decided on 2000 Test runs and 1977 ODI runs (so that Clive Lloyd is included). I am not going to do a batsman analysis which keeps Lloyd out but Vaas/Akram in. 116 players qualify and this is quite a substantial sample size. No Test player of note misses out. The only one who comes to mind is Shahid Afridi, who is one of the ODI greats but has scored only 1683 Test runs, and is unlikely to add more.
The following are the points allotted for different measures.
Tests: Runs scored - 100 Adjusted runs - 50 (adjusted for matches played during career) Batting average - 200 % of Team score - 50 Bowling quality - 50 (weighted by runs scored) Peer comparison - 50 (batting average comparison)
ODIs: Runs scored - 100 Adjusted runs - 50 (adjusted for matches played during career) Batting average - 100 (adjusted for not outs) Scoring Rate - 150 Bowling quality - 40 (weighted by runs scored) Peer comparison - 30 (batting average comparison) Peer comparison - 30 (strike rate comparison)
For both Tests and ODIs, the bowling quality is used by summing the product of "innings runs scored" and "average of other team bowling average" and dividing the "sum for all innings" by the "career runs scored". A very effective manner of doing this as proved by the fact that Gooch, who faced the formidable West Indian and Australian attacks, has a Test bowling quality figure of 31.98 (index value of 42.1), while Atapattu who has scored tons of runs against the weaker attacks has a bowling quality figure of 40.55 (index value of 10.0).
Now let us unveil the tables. These tables are current upto Test # 1944, which produced the unlikeliest of wins essayed by a resurgent and dynamic England side against a flat and insipid South Africa.
The best batsmen across formats - across years
No surprises for guessing who is at the top. The little maestro, Tendulkar, leads both Test and ODI tables, the Test table narrowly and ODI table by a comfortable margin so that he is placed in an unassailable position at the top of the combined tables. He has 801 points and leads the next batsman by a whopping 10%. He is likely to widen the gap further and is likely to have a near-12% gap by the time he decides to hang up his golden willow.
What does one say of Tendulkar. If one takes away the freakish numbers of Bradman, there is no one to touch Tendulkar. More than the runs he has scored, the manner in which he has scored, the balance, technique and poise he exhibits at the crease, his demeanour and impeccable behaviour, the way he conducts himself on and off the pitch, one could go on. Possibly the best thing I could say is that he is a role model, not just for the public, but for the other players.
After the wide gap comes Lara who just about edges ahead of Richards by single point. Two great West Indian batsmen, two of the greatest ever, are virtually tied for the second place. They are so close together, I am going to discuss them together.
Richards was by far the better ODI batsman than Lara, as evidenced by his second place in the ODI list. However Lara was quite a bit ahead of Richards in Tests, as again evidenced by his second place in the Test table. However what has happened is that each has wiped out the shortfall almost exactly with Lara gaining a point in this exchange. I do not need to say anything more of the two greats who, in different eras, have taken ODI and Test batting to great levels of entertainment. That they enjoyed varying degrees of success as team players and leaders was a reflection of the state of West Indian cricket at their respective times.
Ponting is a well-deserved fourth, couple of points behind. Those who question his leadership capabilities should not forget his batting achievements in both forms of the game. He is fourth in all the tables. In view of his age and form I expect Ponting to comfortably move the two West Indian greats to third/fourth places by end of 2010, or possibly earlier. It would be a well-deserved second place.
After some daylight, there is a surprise at the fifth position. Kallis is positioned here, ahead of Dravid. Kallis and Dravid are almost the same at Test level while Dravid is somewhat behind Kallis at ODI level. Anyhow I have heard many negative comments on these two great players. There is no doubt that Kallis has done most for South Africa amongst all players (let us not forget 509 international wickets). In what Dravid has done for India, he might be lagging behind only Tendulkar and Kapil Dev, and might be matched by Kumble and Gavaskar. Would Kallis and/or Dravid move above the two West Indian stalwarts is a difficult-to-answer question. Possibly Kallis who plays in both formats.
The top-10 has 3 Australians, 2 Indians, 2 West Indians, 2 Pakistanis and one South African batsmen. A fair distribution, one would say, with 5 countries represented. For the record, Jayawardene, Gooch, Martin Crowe, Andy Flower and Habibul Bashar are their countrys' best batsmen.
If there is one placing which has surprised me most, it is that of Sehwag, who almost made it to the top-10. Arguably the most destructive batsman of all time, keep a watch on this eleventh placed batsman. Sehwag is moving fast and how. One more series of matches like the recent Sri Lankan ones would move him up in between the two Pakistani greats and then who knows where he might end. And remember that this high position is without being given any credit for his extraordinary Test strike rate.
And amongst the ODI-10 of Tendulkar, Richards, Jayasuriya, Ponting, Gilchrist, Lara, Sehwag, Zaheer Abbas, De Silva and Saeed Anwar, only Zaheer Abbas might raise a few eyebrows. However readers would do well to remember that 2500+ runs in 62 matches at an average of 47.63 and a strike rate of 84.5 is exceptional, amongst the top-5 of all time. I am assuming that, as Hussey and Dhoni have done, he would have maintained these numbers in 120+ matches. Then his high ranking points make sense and he fully deserves this position. He was as free-scoring as Richards and as graceful as Gower.

Internet giant Google, which has also made an entry in the mobile world with its own phone Nexus One, is working on a software which will interpret foreign languages as a person speak. The translation is done almost instantly and Google hopes to have a basic system ready within a couple of years.
Google has already developed an automatic system for translating text on computers, which is being polished by scanning millions of multi-lingual websites and documents. So far it covers 52 languages, adding Haitian Creole last week.
Recently Google also launched a feature where a user can search on the search engine by saying the key words instead of typing. Now it is working on combining the two technologies to produce software capable of understanding a caller's voice and translating it into a synthetic equivalent in a foreign language. The phone would analyse "packages" of speech, listening to the speaker until it understands the full meaning of words and phrases, before attempting translation. "We think speech-to-speech translation should be possible and work reasonably well in a few years' time," said Franz Och, Google's Head of Translation Services.
Although automatic text translators are now reasonably effective, voice recognition has proved more challenging. "Everyone has a different voice, accent and pitch," said Och. "But recognition should be effective with mobile phones because by nature they are personal to you. The phone should get a feel for your voice from past voice search queries, for example."
Vlingo has unveiled a new iPhone app that lets users send voice-powered e-mail and text messages, among other things. The company aims to distinguish its app from countless others by boasting how it can handle numerous different tasks, instead of just one. The list: e-mail, "SMS paste," social site updates, maps, search, and voice dialing.
A mobile battery that could be charged by spinning it around your fingers . The concept design promises quick charging in places where a wall socket is not available to charge your mobile phone. Based on the specs presented, it requires you to rotate the device approximately 130 times to get enough power to make a call for about 2 minutes. At standby, the juice generated from revolving the battery could last for around 25 minutes.
Although there's a little flaw in the calculations of power generated, this finger powered mobile phone battery charger is a possible green solution to minimize usage of electricity and could revolutionize mobile phones and other similar gadgets that requires battery for power.
Many times we need to restrict the users from using the USB drives from our system so that no one can transfer or take away any information or data from the system. Saying the other way round, sometimes you also want that no-one should put his content on your PC either.
By going through this post, you will be able to prevent user from using the USB drive of your PC.. The Windows will not detect the USB..
3) In the right side, change the value of "start" to "4"
4) Now whenever a user will attach a USB storage device which is already installed to your computer system, windows will not detect it and will not be shown in MY COMPUTER.
IMPORTANT: if you want to revert back, change the value of "start" to "3"
